Power Requirements

The power requirements of the BP-2000 Blood Pressure Analysis System are given in this document. Overall power requirements are:

  • Voltage: 100 – 120V, or 220 – 240V

  • Frequency: 50 – 60 Hz

  • Current: 4 amps or less

  • Power: 420 watts or less

The voltage is regulated by the BP-2000 power supply and circuits, and the instrument can tolerate voltages between at least 100 – 120V (for nominally 120V systems) and 220 – 240V (for nominally 240V systems). The supported frequency range is 50 – 60 Hz.

The Control Unit uses about 0.5 amp @ 120 V, or 60 watts.

The Mouse/Rat Platform primarily uses power for heating, and the amount of power required varies greatly by model. However, the heating duty cycle drops dramatically once the platform temperature has been reached, so on average less power is consumed.

Maximum power and current for different models is shown below (where power is in Watts, current is in Amps, and all values are RMS):
